I'm not sure whether my mother ever imagined she'd have a granddaughter, but she still has a chest with a few of my old baby clothes that were brought out into the light. Whatever happened to good old-fashioned, toe- (and heart-) warming knitted booties? Leah thought she'd model them for a 21st-century revival.
